Work Week 2026 Work week 2026 began on May 24th and lasted through May 31th. Those in attendance included Kristen, Rick, Caitlin, Josh, Hilary, Emy, Everett, Sally, Kelly, Robin, Eric, Christine, Connie (Josh’s mom) and Colton. We had a somewhat smaller crew than normal so we decided to tear down and sheetrock the ceiling in Louise’s room before it fell down on someone. We tore out the the failing cardboard walls in the Tin Bathroom and replaced them with Hardie Board, red guarded and painted them. There was some concern that the old drain system in the tin bath was bad but after some investigation we decided that it was OK and we would just leave it. We restored the shower as best we could and put it all back together. Eric built a custom D shaped shower curtain for the middle bathroom and we installed that after Christine red guarded and painted the wall above the bathtub to water proof it from the new shower. We fixed some small leaks in the pump house. We weeded and burned a ton of tumble weeds that have accumulated over the last year all around Nana’s and Sally’s house. We ate a lot of good food!!! There was a wildfire on the NW end Trigg-Singleton ranch that spread over onto the Bell Ranch and burned about 2000 acres. Luckily for us none of our ranch burned but the almost 60 firefighters camped on the airstrip at Caitlin’s house for about six days while they fought the fire. When we showed up for Work Week on Saturday it was a surprise to see the large camp on the runway! They were gone by the end of work week. [/vc_
